As you know, I've had many great entertainment icons on the show over the years. But to me this program was extremely special. Having the great Rose Marie on the program was a high point in my life as she is one of the greatest of show biz personalities I grew up with. 

It was such a thrill that the great Rose Marie agreed to come on to the program that for the first time in my life I experienced what the word awestruck meant. And when she told me to shut up at the very beginning was such an honor. Who else can do that in her special way. She is so special. We love her so very much.

Pretty Perky Peggy King has a program here at WYYR and unbeknownst to me, Peggy and Rose were the best of friends during the 50's when they were both married to musicians. So I felt this could prove to be a great This Is Your Life moment... and it was! Her unique brand of comedy has never been duplicated!

Here on Peggy's program Off The Cuff is the excerpt of the show where Rose Marie calls in to surprise Peggy. It is then filled with many stories including a couple of numbers that Rose Marie did in the 1954 movie Top Banana with Phil Silvers (Sgt. Bilko), plus her opening number in Four Girls Four from 1978.
